Brief Biography of the Missionaries:

30 years as missionaries, 23 in the Country of Haiti, 4 years in the Bahamas, and now serving as the Academic Dean of the Caribbean School of Theology.

Long Range Goals:

To assist our ministers in the Caribbean to prepare themselves for more effective ministry to the ever changing makeup of their congregations.

Current Efforts:

We provide a fourth year for our Bible School graduates, evangelists, pastors, and national leaders, as all our schools are three year institutions.

We visit each of our fields with advanced ministrial seninars and provide the courses they sense they need to enhance their ministry. We can now offer an accredited B.A. in Theology and Christian Education. We are embarking, as well, on an M.A. program.

Current Inspirational Events:

1996 was a busy, but wonderful year. We conducted seminars in Eastern Europe, Guyana, the Bahamas, Jamaica, and the New York District. We were blessed to have services in New York, Arizona, California, and Missouri. Wherever we went, whatever ministry we were engaged in, the Lord was faithful and God's people were wonderful.

The children are all doing well. Vince, Tammy, and Erin are busy in Haitian Ministries, a Division of Home Missions ministry to Haitians on the East Coast. Jeff, Christine, Ben, and Brianne are now in Salinas, California. Jeff serves as Director of Curriculum and Personnel Development for the school systems in Monterey County. Rhonda completed work on her teaching credential and is now teaching Spanish at McLean Middle School in Fort Worth, Texas. Christy and David spent time in South Korea teaching English as a second language. They are now in Ft. Worth, as well, where David is teaching ESL at another middle school and Christy is employed by the school district.

Carolyn continues work on the History of the Assemblies of God in the Caribbean. She recently spent two weeks in field research, meeting with key individuals from the countries about which she is writing, endeavoring to fill in the gaps in the information she has been able to dig out of the archives here in Springfield.

With Ron now full time with the Caribbean School of Theology, working in pastoral and leadership training, it was felt that he should complete his M.A. so as to be better equipped for the ever-expanding ministry of CST. DFM granted him a short leave from the seminar responsibilities to complete his masters work at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He will finish his studies at the end of April.

In reflecting on another year of missionary ministry, our hearts are filled with gratitude for our many friends who continue to support us so faithfully. How we thank God for each and every one of them. We are now into 1997 and the doors of service are open wider than ever before. The CST Board of Administration met in Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas, in mid-January. The reports from the fields where CST has been ministering are exciting. Invitations are coming in from all over the Caribbean, making it necessary for us to more than double the number of seminars for this year. Never have the fields been whiter nor the opportunities for preparing workers more widespread. The time for reaping is at hand. Your prayers will be greatly appreciated!
