EMERGENCY 9-1-1 !
Several weeks ago we bought a toy for our grandchildren that announces "Emergency 9-1-1" when a button is pushed. As the toy sat in a conspicuous place, we would often hit the button just for fun to break the silence. As we come to the end of our time in the States, we have been given our final extension of time to raise the support we need to return to our work in Belgium. We are now facing a real emergency. We are needed so desperately at International Media Ministries, that our director, David Lee, has called it a crisis. There's a dire shortage of personnel and an intensive, exciting project for children of many nations that we are urgently needed to help complete. The Lord has been so faithful to us as we've seen Him erase a huge deficit and bring in monthly pledges. We are now so very close to our objective that we can taste Belgium!
Won't you prayerfully consider helping us reach our goal? We need only 100 one-time cash gifts of $20 each and 30 one-time cash gifts of $50 each to reach our cash goal. In addition, we need 25 monthly pledges of $10 each and 10 monthly pledges of $25 each to reach our monthly pledge goal.
In the story, the main character, Sabina is "thrown away" by her husband because she can't produce a child for him. Sabina finds the true meaning of life through her sister, a Christian.
Larry produced the audio for the film version of "Sabina". We recently received word that this film has been shown on National Television in several East African countries. This and the "Jesus" film have been taken by "video rover's - portabIe generator and projector/sound equipment - to remote villages in the bush of Africa, where many have given their hearts to the Lord as a result of that ministry. HandClasp reports that the total audience so far has been in excess of 8 million people! We give God the glory for touching so many lives.
