Let's just share a story... a moment of simple unclouded truth that occurred a couple of thousand years ago. I believe it is a true story about a seeker, not unlike you. He was a very important and politically correct individual. Our story begins with meeting on a warm Judean night. The seeker found his answer... and your answer.
The question was simply asked, "Teacher, what must I do to be saved?" or, in today's language, "What must I do to get right with God?" The answer came back from the Teacher, "You must be born again." That must have seemed like an odd answer because it didn't fit the typical answer of the day like, "Send in more money," or "Do more good stuff." The Teacher went on to explain that a true turning away from the "old nature" to a new God centered nature was what God wanted... a rebirth to a new person. He also explained how the seeker could come to this new relationship with God... this new person.
This story can be found in more detail in the Gospel of John, Chapter 3. Of course the Teacher was the Son of God, Jesus Christ. The seeker... well, that could be you because the question and the answer are just as true today as they were two thousand years ago.
If you will turn from your old nature and ask God to save you as a new person being lead by Christ, He will answer your prayers. You don't need anybody special to ask for you... in fact, only you can ask... and you can ask right now.
Right now, in this moment in time, make a decision to put away the hurt, the hate, and the confusion, and turn to Jesus. He loved you so much He died for you. He wants you as His child and all you have to do is come to Him.
Right now, pray a simple prayer like:
Jesus, I know you died for me and You love me. I am sorry I haven't come to You before this. Please forgive me for the life I have lead and change me into a new person. I ask You now to make me a child of God. Be my Savour and Guide. I pray this in Your Holy Name... the name of Jesus.
If you prayed this prayer and truly meant it, welcome to eternity with God. The first thing I would recommend for you is to find a place of comfort and fellowship. Find a good Bible teaching church with lot's of smiling faces and start enjoying your new life! I have wonderful friends in church... we have great times together, pray for each other, and are truly family.
