Biographical Information:

We were born and raised in Minnesota. We pastored churches in Indiana and Minnesota before going to Costa Rica as missionaries in 1974. We worked in Costa Rica until 1990 when we transferred to Mexico City. After being in Mexico for three years we were asked to serve as Area Directors. We are now living in the City of Cuernavaca, located about 30 mile south of Mexico City. Our ministry has included church planting, Bible School teaching and administration, construction, involvement with Latin America Child Care in Christian elementary school work, and language school coordination.

We have three children. Joni is married to Gary Wileman and they are presently pastoring the Assemblies of God Church in Fergus Falls, MN. Joni is an elementary education teacher. Our son Jon is married and is currently finishing his masters degree at Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN. His wife teaches second grade in an inner city school in Minneapolis. Jon is also on the pastoral staff at Summit Avenue Assembly in St. Paul. Jenny is a sophomore in North Central Bible College in Minneapolis where she is majoring in Elementary Education. We also have two grand children.

I have a BS degree from Mankato State University in Minnesota in secondary education, a BA degree from North Central Bible College and an MA from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri. I am currently a student of the graduate school at Southern California College in Costa Mesa working on a degree in Cross Cultural Leadership Development.

Current Effort(s):

We are working to understand the needs and opportunites of the work in Mexico. Our chief goals are to maximize the efforts of the missionary resources that we have as well as work with the General Council of the Assemblies of God in the development of a foreign missionary program.

In 1997 Mexico City has been chosen as the Target City for Latin America. We are now working on a plan to mobilize the churches in Mexico and the United States to make a major impact on the people of this the world's largest city.

Current Needs:

The hurricanes and earthquakes in the Yucatan Peninsula have caused damage to churches, parsonages and the general economy and life of the people. Funds are needed urgently to assist these people.
