Summer 1995

Dear Friends,

Have you been to a slumber party lately? Our living and dining room floors were carpeted with bedsrolls as the happy laughter of girls filled our house into the wee hours of the morning. The Missionettes played and visited until exhausting themselves. The Royal Ranger and Missionette clubs for boys and girls, respectively, are part of the Christlian education program of our ministry to children in Mexico. These tools for discipling young people include a multifaceted curriculum of scripture memory, doctrinal truths, practical application of Christian principles, skill training and fun. Light-for-the-Lost provides some assistance for the printed material used in these Christian scouting program. Our Speed-the-Light Suburban has carried excited Royal Rangers

to the foot of Baja mountain trails for their hikes and campouts. The return trip home is always much quieter as the tired boys usually give into sleep. All of the church's Christian education activities are part of implimenting Christ' command to teach them to observe all things He has commanded.

The Great Commission continues with instruction to baptize the new disciples. It is always a highlight to share in these events of public confession of faith for the new believers. In Baja our baptismal services are at the beaches--a very public place of testimony. Pictured here are believers from the La Paz Centro Familiar Cristiano (Family Christian Center) circled on the sand for praise and prayer. The singing, prayer, testimonies and baptism are followed by a fellowship time of eating together on the beach. As we have witnessed numerous baptism services, we are aware that many of these new Christians may have never come to know Christ had it not been for

the church started in their town.

There are still unreached towns in Baja in need of the Gospel. One of these is SANTA ROSALIA, our next church planting endeavor. We have located land but presently have no cash with which to secure it. Pray with us for this city, Santa Rosalia, DFM Project #2210, that the land will be obtained so that more can be reached for ouir Lord.

Thank you for your faithfulness to stand with us through the summer months with your prayers and support.

In His Service,

Ed and Jeanette McCallie
