Greetings from your missionaries in Johannesburg, South Africa, Bill, Reita, and Allison Moore. We want you to know that it is wonderful serving God here, doing HIS work in cooperation with you!

Bisho Church Project

The church building project in Bisho is in full swing. This is a major project that is projected to be completed by October, 1996. We have about 15 men working on this job which is being overseen by MAPS workers Paul and Naomi Wieneke from the Illinois District. Bill's parents knew these people from their work together in the RV Volunteers, and they wonderfully agreed to come and help us for six months. Bisho is the new capital of the Eastern Cape Province, one of the new provinces that was established soon after the first free elections two years ago. The congregation is already growing, and many people have agreed to make this new church their church home. We have also been approached by the local television station asking if they can broadcast our church services-FREE of charge. Of course, the answer was yes! Therefore we have are putting in extra electrical outlets so there can be enough lighting to do this. Pray for Pastor John Batala and the Bisho congregation.

Gospel Publishing House

Each month, we publish literally thousands of tracts and other gospel literature at our Gospel Publishing House which Bill directs. Daily we receive reports and letters of how lives have been changed by the power of God through the printed page. Please pray for the continued operation and Mike Chivuta, our local man who helps Bill with all of the work involved there.

Zambia

In the near future, we are planning on starting a new work in the country of Zambia. There is an unprecedented window of opportunity that awaits us there, and it is our feeling that we must enter and exploit that great opportunity. The President of Zambia, Fredric Chiluba is a former communist that has been born again, is filled with the Holy Ghost, and has declared the country to be a Christian nation. During the last part of May and the first part of June, Bill went with Don Corbin, the Assemblies of God Field Director for Africa to the capital city of Lusaka to see what could be done to open this new field. It was amazing to see what doors had already been opened there by the Spirit. Please pray for the country of Zambia and for the Lord's direction as to what path we must take.

Family

Many people often ask about our family, so let us give you this brief update. Our little African daughter, Allison, who you may recall was born during our first term in Malawi is now four years old and knows everything-at least she thinks. She is attending a local pre-school and loves to go to church all the time so she can go to Sunday school and see the kids. Reita is busy as usual. She is in charge of two guest houses that we have here-we have many people from all over Africa who come here for medical treatment, business, and the like-and that is practically a full time job. She handles almost all of our personal correspondence, reports to DFM, general household duties, and other ministry as requested. Bill just tries to get enough sleep at night so that he can handle another day of the things you have already read about.

Needs

We constantly need people who can come and help us in many ways. We need teams who can come for a short period of time and erect a tabernacle church, a handy man who can come and do maintenance on our press and office buildings and houses, people with office skills, ministers who can help us teach on a long or short term basis, and the list goes on. Would you consider helping us for a while? We, the Africans, God NEEDS you!

We want you to know that it is because of you and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that we are here. Thank you for your prayers as well as your financial support! We can't do it without you! Please know that we are praying for you and trust that you are doing the same for us!
