Southeast Asia has undergone great changes in the past twenty years. Thailand has remained relatively stable despite war in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Thailand is a strategic center for ministry to Southeast Asia. Recently, there has been great receptivity to the gospel; the increasing modernization of Thailand provides the church with new opportunities and potential.
Bill and Ky Prevette are involved in recruiting, training and mobilizing leaders for ministry in both urban and rural areas of Thailand and the Asia Pacific region. They present a unique challenge to all Christians to become active in missions, both here and there.
Bill began his undergraduate work at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, in pre-Medicine. He later received a BA in Pastoral Counseling and a MA in Missionlogy in 1987 at the Fuller School of World Mission, Pasadena.
Before becoming missionaries the Prevettes worked as missionary-in-residence/U.S. associates for the Director of Asian Teen Challenge heading up stateside promotions and recruiting for Asian Ministry Teams. They also worked in the inner city of Los Angeles with Teen Challenge. They ministered in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and India working in crusade evangelism, pioneer church planting and training teams of Western and Asian Christians for cross-cultural evangelism.
