What we, the Missionary Harvest, are all about...
It is our opinion that most people want to hear about good things versus murders, robberies, war, etc. The media playing the, "We are just the mirror of society song" feeds us daily doses of brain numbing violence and just plain garbage. Meanwhile a little voice in the back of our head keeps reminding us that there really are good and selfless people in the world with stories of kindness and God's love.
We also believe that most people want to do "good," but somewhere between the notion and the action things get a bit muddled. We want to give to the homeless person on the street, but quickly convince ourselves that they will only use the money for booze. We are always meaning to give a little to the needy,
but lose the thought over a ball game, or watching TV, or...
Please don't misunderstand. This forum is not designed as the "Beggar's Corner." We simply want to introduce you to people on the front lines of God's work. We want to put you in contact with missionaries throughout the world, and let you hear first-hand of their work. This is the place to read
about the "good stuff" of life -- stories of real human courage and sacrifice. There will never be any pressure to give 'til it hurts, or put your hand on the screen of the TV set. Just let that still, small voice in the back of your head be your guide.
Please note, it is not our intent to host public debates or theological cat fights. The evening news is full of such religious infighting and battling sects... Each month we will update this home page with news from around the world. If you chose to correspond to the staff or missionaries, we ask that you do so in the spirit in which we bring you this material... in Christian love. And feel free to share printed copies of this information with your non-web friends.
